Aquarium Boston
The New England Aquarium located in Central Wharf, Boston, Massachusetts, is a place for the aquatically inclined; young or old. Open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm, and until 6pm, the New England Aquarium offers an unforgettable experience to all visitors. The aquarium houses a vast variety of the colorful fauna that inhabit the oceans which include rare species not seen in other similar attractions.
The New England Aquarium believes in educational activities that are organized as field trips. These trips are headed by an expert guide who will impart facts on the fishes, corals, octopus, sharks, sea-turtles, and other exhibits depending on the trip chosen. Educational material is available free of charge to school children as well as teachers.
The IMAX experience
A giant screen that takes you into the realms of the deep-sea creatures, endangered land species habitats, and even to the frontiers of space is another ?must see? at the New England Aquarium. This IMAX and IMAX 3D excursion opens daily at 9.30am.
Whale watch
Without any doubt, the special attraction remains The New England Aquarium?s unique ?Whale watch? trip. At an additional charge to the ticket, you can board the Voyager III, which takes you to Stellwagen Bank, off Boston, that is a special feeding area for most marine animals that include dolphins, sea birds and of course, whales !!! Knowledgeable nature experts aboard the boat provide all kinds of information while you watch the amazing sight in the water from the bridge of the boat. Sighting of whales is guaranteed, and in case you are unlucky, the New England Aquarium will even give out free return coupons on the next visit.
The trip is so popular that an advanced booking is recommended and you are advised to be protected adequately with a jacket, sunglasses and sunscreen as the 4 hour trip on the open boat can expose you to the elements of nature.

The New England Aquarium is located on Central Wharf adjacent to the Marriot Hotel and near the Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market.
Tickets and Facilities
Buying tickets in advance is advisable to avoid disappointment. Various combination tickets for various activities are available to choose from. Discounts are available for group ticket purchase.
The Harbor View Caf? offers meals, snacks, and refreshments.
Most of the areas in the New England Aquarium are wheelchair friendly and stroller friendly. Help desks are available to store strollers when not allowed. If you are tired of walking around and need to take a break, benches have been provided in strategic areas that you can use.
