Boston Legal

Boston Legal is an American television series that started airing on the ABC channel in October 2004. The show is actually a follow-up of the series The Practice. It follows attorney Alan Shore (played by James Spader) and his experiences at his new law firm Crane, Poole & Schmidt.

Maim characters:

James Spader as Alan Shore:

Can be easily described as a crooked lawyer with a heart of gold. Blackmail, illicit computer hacking, bribery, are all tools that he uses without any hesitation. He refuses to take himself seriously. He has prepared himself to accept the fact that he will never be made partner at the firm due to his unpredictable behavior and lack of dependability.

William Shatner as Denny Crane:

Considers himself to be somewhat of a legend. He has no problems whatsoever in sleeping with wives of clients and judges. But he is still reasonably conservative and says no to defending anyone who is accused of truly heinous actions.

Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt:

Used to have a romantic relationship with Denny. She now views that past with scornful detachment and often makes jokes about it.

Mark Valley as Brad Chase:

Hes the person that others usually turn to in order to get things done.

Rene Auberjonois as Paul Lewiston:

Believes in doing things strictly by the book. As a result, he has had several unfriendly confrontations with Alan and Denny over their obvious lack of respect for the law.

Julie Bowen as Denise Bauer:

An aggressive, young attorney, who was added to the series in season two. She got panicky when her husband filed for divorce and insisted that she pays him so he can live while setting up his career as an average golf pro. Getting distracted due to her divorce issue causes her trouble with some cases.

Craig Bierko as Jeffrey Coho:

A pompous criminal defense attorney, who was added to the show in season three. Not only is he comfortable making friends, but has no troubles making enemies either.

Constance Zimmer as Claire Simms:

An enigmatic and abrasive associate, whos not exactly comfortable when it comes to making new friends.

FORMER CHARACTERS:

Monica Potter as Lori Colson:

An associate in the firm, she found herself quite attracted to Alan during the first season. In the second season, she actually came real close to filing a sexual harassment claim against Denny. Shirley then skillfully ushered her out of the firm.

Rhona Mitra as Tara Wilson:

An attorney at the firm, who after a long flirtation period finally began a sexual relationship with Alan. But she broke up with him after an ex-boyfriend reappeared in her life, and later on quit the firm.

Lake Bell as Sally Heep:

Introduced in the series The Practice, she started a relationship with Alan that crossed over into Boston Legal. But after Alan just plain used her to get some information from a witness, she broke up with him. Shirley later on fired her.

Justin Mentell as Garrett Wells:

A brash, young attorney, who came into the show in season two. He is attracted to Denise, and even though he does go over her head with some clients, he actually helps her by blackmailing her ex-husband's attorney to get him to back down from his cash demands. He has now disappeared from the show
