In most cases when you are hiring a car, you need to emboss your credit card for local deposit, your passport and driving licence. You need to take a membership card with the company you are hiring a car. The membership is usuall free and is open only to people above the age limit of 21 years with clean driving records.

Free parking for the owners are is also provided if you wish to rent a car from the office. The period of free parking will be provided till the duration of your rent.
Damage Deposit
All renters must leave a damage deposit in the form of a credit card authorization. Any damage found on the vehicle upon return will be billed against this authorization.
RENTAL TIPS to check before you sign the form
1. Always carry your driving licenses for anyone wishing to drive the rental vehicle. In case of failure to produce a valid original driving license of the driver will result in the rental being cancelled and no refund made.
2. When you are renting a car in Boston which applies insurance excess, it is well recommended that you walk around the vehicle in order to note any scratches or damage to the vehicle. You should ensure that the rental agent notes any of your comments on the rental agreement and signs to confirm this. Failure to do so will result in any damages being charge to your credit card.
3. Always ensure that you know what the rental procedure is if you require emergency Assistance. Most countries offer 24-hour recovery service to assist with accidents and Breakdowns. Ask the car rental representative before departing the rental location.
4. If the vehicle issued to you on arrival is not of the same size or quality that you reserved, you must advise the rental manager at the location before leaving the rental station. No compensation will be offered on return to the UK if the location manager was not made aware of any dissatisfaction.
5. Always ensure that your rental agent confirms all amounts and comments on the rental agreement. Any additional insurances or charges signed for at the start of rental (not covered by pre-paid rental voucher) will be charged to your credit card.
10. When you are renting a car by purchasing a tank of fuel at the start of rental, remember to return the car empty as no refunds will be give on the unused fuel.

• Insurance Excess (this is the amount that the renter is responsible for in the event of accident damage or theft of the vehicle. *Some locations offer excess waiver locally to reduce the excess to a minimal charge or in some cases to zero.)
• Parking and Traffic Fines Any fines incurred locally will be charged to the renters credit card.
• Administration Charge (All cancellations made more than 5 days before departure will incur an administration charge of 20.00, as will any changes made that require the voucher to be re-issued.
Cancellation Policy
When a reservation for a particular car is made, you may authorize your credit card for 50% of the total rental cost or $500 (whichever is greater). In the event of a cancellation of you rented care or rescheduling, the rental company will process the charge as a "store credit" and apply the amount toward your rescheduled rental.
If your cancellation or reschedule less than 7 days before your rental, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the total rental cost or $500 (whichever is greater) in addition to the above-mentioned deposit.
If you cancel or reschedule less than 72 hours before your rental (or are a no-show at the time of rental), you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the total rental cost.
Payment Methods
VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are the preferred method of payment for rental fees and damage deposits. In certain cases, cashier's checks or cash may be accepted if pre-arranged. Personal & Business Checks are not accepted.
