...Writing is expressing what I am thinking in a clear and interesting manner with appropriate language and correct form and structure. It is a complex task and the student can be helped to break it down into manageable bites. For any student, English can be a puzzle, a cake recipe, a building project, a problem to solve.

...I've learned in Italy both by studying for 3 years in Italy and by going out and immersing myself in the culture. I have taught informally for 3 years in Houston both in Spanish and Italian when I worked in Houston with an international company. I have also traveled back to Italy with my wife and gone all over Italy with the Italian I learned.

...I am fluent in Italian and Spanish. My way of tutoring, or teaching in general, revolves around the concept of showing the student the logical process to find an answer, WITHOUT doing the work for them or just "giving" them the answer. I have a very flexible schedule; nights are usually not a problem.

...Prior to that I have taught swimming lessons, stroke instruction, for young children, teens, and adults. I was the Texas state champion in the 100 yd backstroke in High School, in 1986. I have helped adults with stroke instruction for triathlons, and swimming competitively.
