...I was not sure how I would feel about it when I started out because I have never been very science-oriented, but sign language made me so much more interested. I have taken 3 semesters of sign language classes along with a Deaf Culture class. All of these have required me to attend Deaf culture events and they have been some of the most interesting aspects of my college career so far.

...I have tutored adults as well children who wish to improve their spelling, and English skills. The grades include 2nd-7th grade. I will not tutor a student in math, this is not my strongest subject, I can do basic math but nothing above that.

...I teach 2nd through 5th grade. Prior to that, I pursued a teaching position within Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind in Phoenix, Arizona, and taught deaf and hard of hearing students. I also teach summer school as well.

...I learned about all of the rules, the scoring techniques, and strategy. I'd played before in high school, but just for fun before or after swim practice. This was a legit club sport with at least two practices a week, each lasting two hours.

I am a friendly, patient person who is certainly dedicated to the education profession and I take great pride in building a great student-teacher relationship. I think that all students should feel happy about learning; learning can be so much fun! I am a paraprofessional for a special needs cooperative and I help many students of many different abilities.
