...Students I have tutored recently in SAT writing and reading are going to Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, U of Chicago, Oberlin, and Boston University. While many or most students score a D (8 out of 12) or worse on the SAT essay, I can virtually guarantee a B plus (10 out of 12) or better. The SAT essay counts for about 10 per cent of the whole SAT exam.
