...I taught tennis to middle and junior high students as part of my job duties when teaching that level. When I taught at the community college level, I also was the coach of the tennis team. Many of the players had the ability but just had to have their skills and personality tuned to become a winner.

As an English major I studied Multi-Ethnic American Literature, Children's Literature, African-American Literature, Adolescent Literature and American Novels After WWI.

...My teaching experience is broad. In addition to academic subjects, I have taught private piano lessons and instructed American Red Cross CPR and childbirth classes. I find great fulfillment in teaching, especially one-on-one or in small groups where I can assess the learner and help him to master troublesome material or difficult skills.

...As a result, I have developed a wide range of skills in my area of study. Copyediting, proofreading, critical analysis/reading, and analytical writing are some of these talents, and I combine my knowledge with my love for working with kids and teens. I am formerly a camp counselor who taught kids ages 5-13 how to think creatively and let go of their inhibitions through drama games.
