...I have been teaching chess to both old and young. I played for the CSU chess team and finished second at the Mountain West Invitational in 1998. I am currently rated ELO 2000 on redhotpawn and I have won a number of online tournaments.

My basic attitude to the learner of the English Language is that the student is here to gain as much fluency and confidence in speaking well our language. I integrate mnemonics, pictures, examples, idioms, and metaphors so students receive new perspectives when trying to learn concepts that are not always easy to understand.
