Pseudo-Dutch based on German? Dat maket as muck sens as trijen te basen het on Engels.

I read that this is Low German in the magazine German Life. Have they got it wrong? If so, what would the correct Low German be?

There is no single standard Low German. I'm most familiar with Northern Low Saxon, particular the Bremen standard. As you can see, it isn't as influenced by Standard German spelling as Andrae's Jeversch Platt.
