Dear ILuvEire, can you specify the exact Armenian letters you see to have connection with Persian ones? When you say "more-so than what I can see between all the other scripts", it makes me think there are no other scripts related as much as Armenian and Persian  Even Greek and Cyrillic are less similar, is it what you're going to say?

I hate the vagueness of yours. If you don't answer, I'll consider you, ILuvEire, a sock-puppet of Delodephius.

Oh this is beautiful!

I've always wanted to see samples of most of these ( Avestan being the only one I have seen samples of ). So I want to thank you.

Your handwriting is gorgeous.

Thanks, however I would like to try and write the text with the same writing material the modern Zoroastrians use. I've so far have only seen Avestan calligraphy, but not how they write the book texts.

Do know what writing utensils they used and if there's a way to get any? And I don't think I've ever seen Avestan calligraphy. I would love to though.

I imagine it to be something like Arabic.....

Wow, I really don't appreciate that accusation or jumping to that conclusion. The biggest problem is that I cannot read any of the scripts but Hebrew, so I'll go off the corresponding Hebrew letter. I see a strong resemblance in the letters corresponding to alef, bet, zayin, lamed, samech, ayin, pey, resh, shin and tav.

Ignore him. He's a insensitive jerk.

However, I see a clear similarity between the Persian and these Armenian letters: Ա Բ Գ Դ Ե Ո Զ Է Ժ Խ Լ Մ Ն Շ Կ Պ Ր Ս Տ.

Look what I found. How would the Avestan alphabet look like if it was made in Times New Roman style? Probably like this:

Ok, so I circled down the letters of the Persian and Aramaic scripts that look a like the letters of the Armenian alphabet.

1. Modern Hebrew
2. Aramaic 4-3rd c. BC
3. Aramaic 2nd c. AD
4. Parthian (Arsacid) 1-2nd c. AD (coins)
5. Parthian (Arsacid) 3rd c. AD (inscriptions)
6. Pahlavi (Sassanid) 3rd c. AD (inscriptions)
7. Pahlavi (Sassanid) 4-6th c. AD (coins)
8. Pahlavi (Parsi) 8th c. AD - present (manuscripts)
9. Kharoṣṭhi (Indo-Bactrian) 3rd c. BC
10. Armenian (reversed) 9th c. AD (oldest manuscripts)
11. Georgian (reversed) 10th c. AD (oldest manuscripts)
