Do you think that the bar added to the main Omniglot site is neat?

I honestly thought you were planning to organize a "club bar" or something! which would actually be a nice idea, if we wouldn't be living so far apart. Just an idea for the far future: maybe we should set up a meeting somewhere? Or one on each continent?

On topic: I don't really use the bar, and it does take away a strip (or patch) of otherwise useable screen, which is important on widescreen monitors. I'm not much of a fan, really.

I initially thought she meant a bar to joining/using the Omniglot Forum. Something analogous to the "colour bar" or the "lexical bar".

I am a male person for your information unless you were referring to Caenwyr. And yes, I meant the bar that appears in the bottom of the main site.

I guess Linguoboy was a bit confused due to the resemblance between "Alisbet" and "Elisabeth" ;-). I'm male as well - as are most Omniglotters, I believe!

bar like bar in taskbar
there was a small space (or is. idk) at the bottom of the omniglot mainpage where stats about users viewing the omniglot page were displayed (like how many people are visiting this site at the moment), also you could use this bar to bookmark omniglot in social bookmark services. This bar is meant.

I thought it would be like a new part of the forums that's like a virtual bar where people come in and talk about random stuff.

(and isn't dead)

>_<
