Countries or parts of the world you wouldn't want to go to. For any reason or no reason at all. Don't have to share it if you don't want to.

I myself wouldn't want to go to East Asia, North Africa, except maybe Egypt, and most of the Middle East. I really don't like high temperatures. I do love Scandinavia.
I wouldn't want to go to East Asia because I just don't like the culture, and the languages also by the way. Plus I don't like the food. Not much to do with politics or religion, that I pretty much don't like anywhere.

Stockholm, USA, any non-secular country or dictature in the world.

To be honest, anywhere where I'd be in danger or that I'd have to get series of vacines. So a lot of Asia, the Middle East, a lot of Africa, a lot of South America. I'll limit myself to Europe and North America, and Oceania, but I wouldn't rule out the developed parts of China or Egypt because of the historical connections. They just are generalisations, I wouldn't consider that to be my final word on the matter, I'm sure if I ever had a good reason and opportunity to go to any part of the world in relative comfort (I like my holidays to be reasonably comfortable), I'd jump at it.

These nations do not respect human rights so I can not imagine myself even visiting one of them.

I absolutely agree these nations do not respect human rights, but that would prevent me from living in them. I would be okay with visiting for a short time if it was relatively safe.
The Middle East and South America are very safe in most places. It's just that there are some very dangerous spots that give those regions a bad name. In the Middle East your chief danger is terrorism and in South America it's crime.

In Africa it varies too. Sudan would be nightmarish, but Kenya is probably pretty safe.

The place where I live is surprisingly very safe. I always found it strange how in other parts of the world there were diseases, dangerous animals, floods, droughts, earthquakes, volcanoes, extreme cold or heat, wars, high crime rates, etc. But where I live there is nothing. Even during WWII the region I live saw no heavy fighting, barely any fighting at all. And nature here does nothing. Floods are very low, droughts are never serious, winters are not that cold, summers not that hot, no dangerous animals hundreds of miles around, earthquakes pass unnoticed. When I was a kid to me problems of the world and humanity were always someone else's problems. In a way, why should I travel anywhere then?

I prefer hot weather & I hate the cold.


I understand your reasoning. But, I wouldn't even want to risk visiting one of those nations. What if they arrest you on some bogus charge? You wouldn't have a fair trial or nothing! Maybe I'm a bit paranoid in that respect...

This is like one of my greatest fears.

I agree with your list, except I might go to the PRC or Egypt. I'm not entirely sure why I think their tourism is important to them. And I think PRC would be too busy with it's own people to worry about me.

Hmm, I dunno, I can't really think of any place inhabited by humans in the world I don't want to go to.

I mean, sure, some places are currently dangerous due to political problems etc, but it's not like I'm going to rule out that place just because of that; I would have no problem going there after the problems resolve.

Oh, I forgot to mention I've been there.
