I've had a pet project lately in my Calculus classes: nDaña.

It's all really new and there's not much developed yet, but I think it will come out real good.

Plus, it's my first conlang to be accompanied by a conscript! Yay, that's right ^^ Finally some char art I feel like is worth putting up here.

Let's get to it:

Vowels are


Consonants are (In nDaña collation with standard Latin transcription):



This phonology is very much attached to the script, and unfortunately it is not yet online. As soon as I find my camera's cable I'll post it.


A little bit of grammar:

Basic word order is OSV. Don't know how these languages handle relative clauses though, so I'll have to look into that.

We have four marked cases, ACC, GEN, LOC and DAT. Nominative is just left unmarked. I thought about going Ergative-Absolutive on this one but I think I'll hold it to the next.

Personal pronouns come in Subjective, Objective and Possessive flavor.

Subjectives are:

1.S. ma
2.S. ña
3.S. nda (male) ndaŧ (female)

1.P. miña
2.P. siña
3.P. nda'a (male) ndaŧya (female) ndaña (generic)

What do you people think?

Why the mismatch between noun case and pronoun case? I would expect a language with accusative and dative marking in nouns to minimally distinguish accusative and dative in pronouns as well.

No specific reason, actually. I didn't even realised that my pronoun cases fitted in my noun cases. I could build dative pronouns, I guess.

In any case, here follow the Objective Pronouns:
