Given that, the good food, excellent beer, beautiful art, and stunning architecture are all, as we say, just gravy.

You won't need it! Another point in its favour.

No.. But we saw several signs of an upcoming war.. Trains loaded with Georgian artillery, helicopters over Tbilisi at nighttime, even Russian military check points disguised as UN forces.. (That was at least what Amiran, our guide told.. )

Thanks to my parents being professors I have been to many countries, I lived in the 10th arrondissement in Paris for about a year as a young child and learned to speak French to near fluency but unfortunately I never learned how to write in it, now I am a fairly fluent speaker but very very poor at spelling and particularly grammar. I have also been to Amsterdam for a total of 4 weeks London for about a month and Edinburgh for about 4 months. Budapest for a week, Shanghai for two weeks, Beijing for a week and Xi'an for two weeks. Sydney for a month, Cristchurch, NZ for a month and Dunedin, NZ for a few days, and Canberra for a few days. Kobenhavn for 4 weeks and Malmo for 3, and finally, I will be an exchange student in Kazan for three months this summer. It should be great!

tl;dr- Scotland, England, Hungary, China, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Russia, France :P , Denmark, Sweden and The Netherlands.

Oh, and of course, my home country the good ol' US of A

Sort of. I've gone over the border to Plattsburgh as a kid, if that counts.
