Hmm...well, I read that somewhere...

I don't know for sure about separable prefixes, but most all the exclusively inseparable prefixes (e.g. be-, for-, mis-, etc.) are reconstructed for Primitive Germanic and appear extensively in all of the daughter languages. The use of prepositions as prefixes seems to have increased under the influence of Latin (e.g. übersetzen is a direct calque on [postclassical] translato), but that doesn't mean it wasn't widespread earlier.

Related to this is the problem of choosing the appropriate preposition to accompany each verb (and, in noun case languages like German, the appropriate case for the prepositional object). Each language has several competing metaphors governing the use of various prepositions, none of them necessarily any more "intuitive" than any of the others, so they get extended in different ways. Do you think about (Welsh am) someone, onto (German an, with accusative; Irish ar) them, or in (Spanish en) them?

I love the way it's written and in my opinion one the best sounding languages written in the Cyrillic alphabet. Plus I like all of it's tenses.

Why not Korean and Hindi? There are bound to be more resources for either of those than Romanian or Luxembourgish.

Maybe Czebra likes Romanian & Luxembourgish a lot more than Korean or Hindi.

I'm not asking why he/she's learning those, I'm just curious why he/she says he/she won't be able to learn Korean and Hindi. It could be difficulty or lack of opportunities to use it, but there's no shortage of materials and live speakers for both.
