English has enough quirks already, methinks.

Well upon seeing that categorical answers were given, I knew I needed to read about these different categories. Here my favorites are:

Abjads: Well I had a hard time choosing between Arabic and Hebrew. But after visiting the Abjad page, I discovered Sogdian. So I would have to say Sogdian.

Syllabic: I haven't had much experience with languages in this category, so I don't really know much about the various syllabic orthographies, but I really like Sinhalese

Alphabet: Hmm this category is hard, especially once I started looking at the different alphabets. I like the way Mongolian is written, and it is also aesthetically pretty good. But it's hard to beat Cyrillic!

I also like 'Irish type'

Out of Abjads I too like Sogdian the most.

My favourites are:

alphabets: cyrillic and gothic
alphasyllabaries: syolti-nagri
syllabaries: cherokee, hiragana and katakana

Maybe we should learn Sogdian
