I think technically the 2 syllable 牙齿 is tooth (yáchǐ). What's the radical for <齒>? I've never even SEEN that character before!

齒 has its own radical.
牙煙 is just a phonetic "spelling", while 崖广 cliff hut (and 广 is a different char from simp. 廣) is the original (but obsolete) word for dangerous.

Well, yeah, that's the word for "tooth". I was talking about on the morphemic level.

<齿> is the simplified version of <齒>. Since I study Japanese kanji & Korean hanja I learned <歯> & <齒> instead of <齿>.
