Trojan horses?

Postby Dennis » Sat 12 Dec 2009 9:07 pm

Every time I get to the home page, I get one warning from Avast. It started three days ago or so, and every now and then it says there are even two dangers lurking in the omniglot home page. I don't know if it's true, or what is the problem really, but I thought I'd just let you know.

Edit: this is the problem, according to Avast

- filename : http://www.omniglot.com/scripts/imageswap.js
- malware name : HTML:IFrame-LD [Trj]
- malware type : Trojaans Paard
Speak: Dutch, English
Something between reading and speaking: French, German
Read: Latin, Ancient Greek

Japanese: somewhere around JLPT 4 level (out of 5), I guess. Also, I (should) know around 250-300 kanji.

Thanks for letting me know. I've removed the dodgy code from that script - don't know how it got there.
