The Birehesi Language

The Birehesi Language was a project which started and then died ten years ago; however, recently I am working on reviving as well as revising this conlang of mine. This conlang is one of the most devoloped languages of mine which also uses the Manchurian Script as its writing-system.

The followings are some of the common greetings in birehesi dirmimi:

marbade good-morning
mararita good-day, hello
maribhide good-afternoon
marimire good-evening
mararamsa good-night
himdade good-bye

sa ise a mase tai
How are you?

In speech, sa ise a mase tai is actually pronounced as s'is'a mas'tai.



mase bi mare
I am fine.

In speech, mase bi mare is pronounced as mas'bi mar (the "r" in birehesi dirmimi is always trilled).



sirase tai
thank you

In speech, sirase tai is pronounced as siras'tai (in birehesi dirmimi, the "e" can be silent in the end position, in other positions the "e" is pronounced the Manchurian way).



misihe ise taide ribi
What is your name?

In speech, the above phrase is pronounced as m'sihis' taid'ribi (in birehesi dirmimi, the "mi" as the start of a word can become a nasal-sound).



biti ribi ise...
my name is...

In speech, this phrase is pronounced as biti ribi's'....

I don't blame you it's gorgeous. I have several scripts based on it.

Also is this an adaptation to the Manchurian script? Because I'm noticing diacritic marks that I haven't seen before ( when you have time I would like to see a chart ).

I love it.

I am found of the manchu script because it denotes certain sounds better than the traditional mongol script. However, this does not mean I am intoxicated by the manch script that, I cannot see the beauties in other writing systems.

Truth is, those diacritic markers do exist in the manchu script, and thus, this adoptation of the manchu script is a direct unaltered adoptation (even the phonologies are unaltered).

About the script, I didn't know that.

That's why I asked. And at the moment I don't have a scanner but as soon as I get one I'll post the scripts. All the images of my scripts that I've posted so far are from sometime ago.

I'm hoping I'll get it in time for Christmas but Idk, we'll see.

Christmas? Bah, humbug! Just save money, and then, you can buy a scanner. I have no faith in Christmas. Bah, humbug!

Even so atm I don't have a place to put it.
