This looks like an interesting place!
I didn't realize until recently how many people like creating languages.
I made my first conlang in third grade.
I've studied Latin, Greek, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Esperanto.
Currently I'm working on Japanese.

My son lives in Japan and is marrying a Japanese woman. We visited this summer; I was able to say, "I speak a little Japanese, but I'm not very good yet." I got a lot of mileage out of that. And "thank you," "Good morning," and "excuse me."
