Hi, everybody!

I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure if I'm posting my question in the right place, but I'll give it a try! =) I have bought this silver box, which has some kind of mystical inscription. I have spent days trying to find out what language it is and what is says - without luck. Hopefully there is someone out there who recognizes the language and can help me find out what it says! =)

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Isa

Sorry, but I have no idea. I do think some of the letters look like glagolitic, but that's all. And I'm most certainly wrong.
Edit: Now when I think about it, it shares a striking resemblance to either Komi or Nushka-Khucuri.

It is absolutely not Hebrew.

Some of the characters look vaguely Sinitic.

It does look like it could be asomtavruli or nuskhuri.

I was thinking more Nushka-Khucuri because it's not as round to it's appearance as Asomtavruli.

Wow, I had no idea these scripts even existed until now.

So I went to Wikipedia and looked them up (and somehow ended up reading the Arabic article on Mikheil Saakashvili, but that's the nature of Wikipedia) and I tentatively agree. Now if we had a fluent Georgian speaker, we might be in luck.

I am 99% sure it's not Georgian or any of the Georgian scripts.

My guess is Ge'ez or Ethiopic.
