Phúc Kiến sounds like F*cking but means Hokkien (Fujian).
Phục Dụ sounds like F*ck you but means Service.
Mỹ Quốc in northern dialect sounds like My cock.

Not in the northern dialect, which is the prestige dialect for Vietnam (of course you know that, but not everyone reading this topic does ). I suppose most of the Vietnamese diaspora speak a southern or central dialect, however.

The only reason why the Northern Dialect is considered the standard dialect is because they invaded South Vietnam. There are just as many speakers of the Southern as there are Northern speakers. For me though, I prefer the Southern or Central dialect (the most mysterious of them). The northern dialect is just too odd for me. But for historical reasons such as the fact that the Vietnamese civilisation was centred in the northern regions, then yes the Northern dialect should be the prestige dialect.
