Interesting feedbacks and, I thank you all. We have to discuss one matter though: Why is a Tai-Dam language written on a manualscript dated from the Ming-Dynasty of China and, why is it written with Tibetan and Uyghur of which are languages so geographically far-away from the Tai-Dam languages?

That is a good question.....I have no idea.

Very mysterious indeed. I wonder what it says though.....maybe if we knew what it said it would give us some answers?

True, and we will work in that direction then. The Tibetan and Uyghur writings on that manualscript shall serve as the references.

Good. I have no idea on how to start this though since I don't know that much about the languages.

I knew I had the Pai-yi script key someplace. Sorry for taking so long to post a scan of it.

Until recently, Thai/Tai/Kadai scripts have been ignorred. A lot of the information I've gleaned has been from journals suchs as:
1. Deutsche Morgenländische Gesellschaft (From whence I got the attached scans)
2. T'oung Pao
3. Bulletin de l'Ecole française d'Extrême-Orient (my favorite and available on line!!!)
Most are too big to post here.....PDFs in the 50MB range.
