CILS certificates issued by the International University of Siena (Universita per Stranieri di Siena). These certificates are recognized in Italy at the state level, through an agreement with the University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy. Certification by the University for Foreigners, Siena based on parameters established by the Council of Europe. Received certificates are recognized in Italy and EU countries. They provide opportunities for international students who successfully pass the exam at least level II and want to enroll in Italian universities, not to pass the entrance exam of Italian language again. The certificate is also a plus when applying for a job in the Italian firms or foreign firms, which require knowledge of the Italian language.
CILS six levels: A1, A2, UNO-B1, DUE-B2, TRE-C1, QUATTRO-C2. The first two of the initial level - A1 and A2 - relevant to foreigners living in Italy as evidence of involvement in the process of learning the Italian language.
Exams for the Certificate of Italian as a foreign language are held twice a year - in early June and in early December in the same time around the world.
