What an expressive phrase.

I would translate it "because the son of a bitch who can stop Israel hasn't been born yet" but that's what you get when dealing with a language which uses aspect instead of tense.

Plus I'd spell it differently but that's besides the point.

How would you spell it?

I used Rosetta Stone and I liked it, but I think a person must have a textbook with it or you will only learn the phareses rosetta stone teaches you. I use my rosetta stone for review mostly.

Well I don't use the "full spelling" because it messes up distinctions of vowel length which I am careful to preserve.

As to the exact spelling I'd have to see the niqqud (vowels) to be completely sure.

I agree that it is good for pronunciation, but aside from that it's worthless to me
Living Language or Berlitz or Barron's is WAY the honk better!!!!! They have CD's or cassette tapes and you really learn the language well. From cultural notes, to pronunciation, to grammar and sentence structure to conjugation. If someone already has the course in Rosetta Stone though, DO NOT be discouraged! You may be that one person who really benefits from the teaching style!

So who all here has used Michael Thomas.

I have used Rosetta Stone, got mine for free. As far as a free program goes I think it definitely serves its purpose learning vocabulary and I'd recommend it to anyone. As far as the full price program goes its like a smack in the face. Just way too expensive for what it will actually do for you.

So I am interested in the Michael Thomas program. What all does the program entail and more importantly did it work for you?

I don't recommend Rosetta Stone for Mandarin. If you are just starting out without having learned with a native speaker or without having lived in a Chinese culture, don't take Rosetta Stone Mandarin.
