So nice to be here with you.

My name is Angel; I’d like to share some Chinese sentences frequently used in my daily life. Today I want to display some useful sentences when you need to introduce yourself to others, you may immerse yourself in the surroundings immediately after your sincere and kindly introduction. Introduce Oneself

Qǐng yǔnxǔ wǒ zìwǒ jièshào .
请允许我自我介绍。
Please let me introduce myself.

Wǒ xìng Zhāng , qǐng jiào wǒ mǐnmǐn .
我姓张，请叫我敏敏。
My surname is ZHANG.，please call me Minmin.

Hěn gāoxìng rènshí nǐ .
很高兴认识你。
Nice to meet you.

Wǒ láizì zhōngguó běijīng .
我来自中国北京。
I come from Beijing, China.

Wǒ shì gè hànyǔ jiàoshī .
我是个汉语教师。
I’m working as a teacher of Chinese.

Wǒ xīwàng wǒ néng chéngwéi nǐmende péngyou .
我希望我能成为你们的朋友。
I hope I can be a friend to all of you.

Do you know any Cantonese?

I also think that when it comes to learn "Chinese", too much emphasis is put toward Mandarin instead of the rest of Chinese languages, specially Cantonese...

I personally don't like Mandarin because my brain can't process the tones. (I'm sure I could with the proper help, but I don't like tonal languages.)

Cantonese has more tone contours though.

Then I don't like Cantonese either. I just don't care for tones much.

As far as I know, all Chinese languages have tones :lol:

Well, the other varieties of spoken Chinese are politically & economically insignificant. Mandarin is the sole official language for both the Chinas & is co-official in Singapore. Cantonese has de facto official status in Hong Kong & Macau but that's it.

The Shanghainese dialect of Wu doesn't. It does have pitch accent, though.

I don't afraid of anything, especially tones. 8-)
