One day, a young Cuban escaped from Fidel Castor's dictatorship to Miami. There he met his uncle, who promised to take the boy, named Jose, to see the Marlins play. Well, since the Marlins were Jose's favourite team, he eagerly agreed and waited for the day to go to see the game.
About a week after he arrives in Miami, his uncle gets tickets to a game. They arrive at the game, and Jose is extremely excited. His uncle got very good seats, right in front of a humongous American flag, and Jose waited impatiently for the teams to appear.
All of a sudden, a loud voice booms through the stadium and says 'Please stand up for the Pledge of Allegiance'. Jose, knowing very limited English, did not understand what was happening, but watched in awe as the entire stadium stood up and turned to face him.
'Oh, say, can you see...'
At that, Jose meekly stood up, waved his wand and said 'I see fine, thank you!'
It's probably not that funny, actually.
