I've noticed over the past week or two that new letters from different scripts have been appearing in the yellow "parchment" area to the left of the Omniglot title on the home page. I've cllicked on the parchment to see what these new letters that I don't recognise are, but they haven't been added to the list yet. My curiousity is causing me to break out in hives, so I do hope you'll put them up there soon!

Cheers,

Chris Miller

Can you point us to the ones you're talking about?

I refreshed the home page 50 times but didn't spot any letter that wasn't on the list. Next time please take a snapshot. :)

It's funny, but just a few days before I posted the comment (still thinking the new characters would come around again), the new ones stopped showing up. I know there were two or three of them and I haven't seen them since, and I'm sure I wasn't hallucinating...

Simon- was I?

There's only one letter that appears on the scroll but isn't on the scroll page - it comes from Harta, a con-script for Hungarian.

I just saw the mystery letter now: it looked like a C with a little circle attached to the bottom. It's one of bb, pp, gg or kk from the Harta con-script you mention, though I can't tell for sure because it changed too quickly when I clicked on the ppage.

next time you encounter it, try taking a printscreen! I'm starting to get really curious about that mystery character!
