Spokane Falls are in Spokane, at the other end of Washington from Puget Sound. Salishan languages, however, are found that far east.

As a matter fact some dialects of Salishan linguistic stock (more of a sub language rather) are found as far as Montana :)

I'm not much help, but I do know there is a Lushootseed course at Skagit Valley College, the teacher there may be able to help you find any information you need. Message me and I'll be happy to give you all of the contact information.

I'm personally really tempted to take this course this summer... It seems like a blast!!
