Beautiful pages.

A 5MB page of Flash is the worst possible way to make a website. It is probably hard to find a website that manages to exclude many more users, or make the experience slower or more painful. That website assumes an awful lot.

5MB? But it downloads very fast! And I have a very slow connection. I think you guys are exaggerating.

I was exaggerating, but accidently. The initial page (the page that only gives you the links to the different pages), is 3 MB. When you click on the left hand most link, you download a further 2 MB. I mistakenly took that 5 MB as a total because I forgot the page doesn't reload. I'm sorry about that. Even so, besides the fact the page is all Flash, which is an utter pain, and totally inaccessible, those sort of page sizes are ridiculous. Yes, certain image heavy pages need that sort of size, but the initial one?

Great website! But I agree this is going to frustrate a lot of people.

I think I need to get a camera and video myself opening those pages. I'm also starting to thing you guys are trying to make an idiot out of me.

No, but pages 5 MB big are not that common to find.

People, keep in mind that many of us have to use wireless networks (I'm on my school's right now). Wireless networks are likely to drop packets, especially if you are far from the router. This causes the site to go slower than normal AND if the connection is too low the site may stop responding and you have to start loading all over.

I liked the site, and thought it was visually stimulating. I didn't have any troubles loading
pages either and I got your standard, run of the mill, broadband internet. I think y'all need
to box up your 56k modems and upgrade a little.
