Hardly. Your point was that Wikipedia was particularly unreliable. Your evidence was that a single case of academic fraud had been uncovered and corrected among its editors.

If your goal is to convince anyone, try harder.

I doubt his point was to convince anyone.

When an encyclopedia can be eddited by a teenager to include false information, it is hardly reliable.

And as Delodephius said, I'm not trying to convince anyone. Chill out.

Hehe, you should have seen how I was confused when I tried to make a tree of ancient Thracian kings. To be sure I always check every page on Wikipedia in different languages to see if the information is the same. Mostly when it comes to such "obscure" histories it is not. For several Thracian kings on different language Wikipedias there were various dates of rule.

For example, when it comes to Balkan history, the same pages in Serbian, Albanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Greek and Turkish are all almost completely different.

If I were any more chill I'd have hypothermia.

You may be surprised to find that bolding selected words in your arguments does not actually make them more convincing.

1) the same applies to you and
2)You're missing the entire point. I don't care whether you think Wikipedia is valid or not. I stated my opinion and I'm not trying to convince anyone. End of discussion.

I agree with Jayan, we're way out of topic!

1) (S)He was actually making fun of you.
2) You hurt those Wikipedia lovers among us. ;) (...Wonder where did ElfoEscuro go?)

Going off-topic (and not caring much about it) has always been one of Omniglot's main characteristics.

I got that, I'm not retarded. Just because I didn't reply in the same three-year-old manner doesnt mean I didn't understand what he was saying.

Women: can't live with them, can't live with them.

Wikipedia still needs a long way to go before it becomes a decent credible source of information. I mainly use it for links to other websites or references to books and articles on the subject.
