If there there is a "i" following the the character for "x" and "ch" then it is "ch" with the tongue rolled back but there are acceptions. All other vowles proceeding "ch" signify that it is "x" which is pronounced "sh"

i am trying to decide if I should use the chinese characters in conjunction with XinHua's original writting system or not. Any sugestions?

(Do not give suggestions on my spelling, please. I know it needs some work.)

If I did incorporate the characters into XinHua, the example sentence would look like this:
吃们弄新萨?

侧万=Good bye friend
侧 meaning "Until next time" or "To take separate ways."
万 meaning friend.

This isn't supposed to make sense to you Mandarin, Cantonese, or Shanghainese speakers. For that matter, it's not supposed to make sense to any one who knows Kanji, because this is XinHua(新华)
