I want to apply to British Universities but up untill now I have only been considering Architecture as a course. I now want to also apply for linguistics, which is an idea I have been flirting with for many years. Can somebody tell me if there are any specific requirements that universities have when applying for Linguistics? In Architecture for example they ask to see some samples of your work.

It depends on the university I guess. The university I'm applying to doesn't have any special requirements for the Linguistics program.

Yeah, there is generally no pre reqs. before university. Unless you have prior linguistics credits in a previous establishment, everyone just starts at peg one.

I took linguistics at a US university, and there were no requirements or prerequisites. I would think the university's Web site or some other publication would have that information.
