So, based on the languages sampled in imbecilica's video, which does everyone find more appealing, and which less so?

My favorites are Japanese, Korean & Thai; I also like Arabic, Hebrew & Georgian.
My least favorites are German, Esperanto & Vietnamese.

I like German (sexy!), Finnish (harmonious), Hebrew (I just like this a lot), Korean & Japanese (hyperactively attractive), Mandarin (smooth) and Vietnamese (I like the tones ^^) the most
I don't like Dutch (that 'g' kills it), Arabic (I got scared), Thai nor Esperanto.

Of course this is based on the voice clips.

Interesting choices. I have to say I don't care much for most tonal languages, including Chinese. I like the sound of Japanese a lot, which has a pitch accent. It sounds very smooth and refined.

I find "harsh" languages like German and Arabic tend to divide opinions. I don't like German because it sounds too clipped and stilted to me. Arabic has a lot of "ugly" back-of-the-mouth sounds, but a very nice cadence when spoken.

Interesting. You like Vietnamese & Mandarin but not Thai.
Am I the only one on this forum that likes Dutch better than German?

I do. I like the sound better, and the grammar is more user-friendly.

Really? I've heard horror stories about how complicated Dutch grammar is! :)

Complicated my ass. There's nothing about it that's any harder than the other Germanic languages.

You don't think English grammar is complicated?
