Why post language-related threads in the general chat forum?

Postby Tikolm » Wed 19 May 2010 1:27 am

I'd like to know why people are posting language-related threads in the general chat forum. It's supposed to be about things other than language. There are all sorts of threads about language stuff on here and they should probably get moved to different forums. I know Omniglot is about languages, but the general chat forum is supposed to be about non-language stuff...

Because there is no sub-forum for English discussions nor General Lingustic topics: phonology, etymology, etc.
