You claim your English is bad, but reading your post, I think it's beautiful. You definitely list specific difficulties with learning it, but English really is an insane language - I think so, and it's my native tongue! I just wanted to say that whatever troubles you're experiencing I can wholly tell you're doing a fantastic job!

A lot of languages have insane features. The Dyirbal gender system looks crazy, but Lakin proposed a relatively reasonable framework.

Error de ortografía.

Some people prefer to say "horror" de ortografía though.
Eso sí, algunas personas prefieren decir "horror" de ortografía.

Excuse my mistake. I meant to write ...it all ends up being due on the same day.

Ok, here goes...
I am too quick to jump into a conversation in a language I know too little about. For instance,
I was tutoring a Russian man with English and I thought I would try to speak a little in Russian. So, I THOUGHT I said "I don't speak Russian very well'. In REALITY I said "You don't speak Russian very well. I wondered why the man was giving me a very quizzical look, and then I thought a moment and then we both started laughing :) It was a very good cultural experience, even though my ego suffered a little in the translation :)

Not that this thread is in use or anything, but I thought I'd post at it.

I'm bad at jumping into conversations in general, but to be precise, I'm mostly the exact opposite of Kristie above -- too slow to talk myself into trying to speak a language I don't know that well. It's a side effect of being shy, I guess.
I don't feel like trying to give an example, because these days whenever I try to give an example of anything it ends up having something to do with Welsh. I'm kind of tired of that. :P
