...My work with children includes tools as a multiple games that encourage them learning in a fun way. My work with adults is adapted to them in order to improve their desires. Teaching Spanish for business is quite different than teaching someone Spanish for travel.

...Upon obtaining my BA in Spanish, I worked for three years in Quito, Ecuador, where I was responsible for designing curricula and language programs. I taught English to professionals and university students alike, and oversaw business marketing. This is in addition to translation services, which was another key job activity.

...I was a Spanish teacher for over two years at Casa del Pueblo. I was an English Tutor and ESL Instructor at Carlos Rosario International Charter School for five years. I am currently an English-Spanish Interpreter for International Language Services and McNeil Multilingual, Inc. as needed (PRN). I also worked or the DC Public Schools system for more than a decade.

...My basic methodology involves getting students to see patterns in the material we are using and have students apply that insight. This is essentially how verb tenses are learned in any language. I also usually place a strong emphasis on having students hear what they are reading or working with in written format.

...I began learning French in middle school and then I lived in France as a high school exchange student. I studied French, Spanish and Linguistics at UNCG and the University of Granada in Spain. I have a Master's in TESOL and I have taught in Rabat, Morocco, Washington, DC, and Indonesia.
