...We read both prose and poetry - from Livy to Cicero to Catullus, Horace, and best of all Vergil. My goal is to make students comfortable with all the nuances of learning a foreign language, even an ancient one. A great part of this is to make connections between the ancient and modern worlds.

I am an Army linguist and graduated from the Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) Course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California in 2006. I graduated with an Associate's Degree in Arabic from Methodist University in 2009. I currently teach Arabic as one of the faculty members at the Global Language Network in Washington, D.C.
