...It is one of my favorite subjects to teach. Portuguese is the most complex of all the Latin/Romance languages. It's melodious sounds make it a beautiful language to hear as well as read.

First, I try to find out what sparks the interest in the student and then try to relate the subject matter that he or she has difficult with to that interesting topic....

...These have proven to be very effective. Furthermore, I'll be assigning homework that includes 20 minutes of free writing. I find this very necessary, as it provides the opportunity for students to refine and improve grammatical knowledge and conversational skills.

...I feel that creativity helps engage the student in the subject, which enhances what they absorb each session. I will have a different curriculum for each student based upon their command of the language and specific needs of the students. Since most people work at a different pace I will go at the pace for each individual.
