...I have been working with students who are ESL learners for over 5 years. I allow them to use the glossary or other means in order to remain in the same place as the rest of the students. If the student is just beginning, I make sure to have the test written in both their native and the English language.

...There are several strategies that can be used with any child to help them reach their goals. I have tutored a student from kindergarten through 3rd grade in the areas of reading, spelling, writing, math and ways to study.
