...I have worked for 3 different goverment departments. During my time at the intermediate course, I mentored and tutored students in the basic course. I have been working in Iraq for almost 10 years as an Arabic linguist performing simultaneous translation/interpretation, document translation, and working as a cultural advisor.

...My view of teaching is that the teacher must first try to understand what is already obvious to the student. A teacher must understand where the student stands. From there we can build together the subject matter piece by piece by falling back on what experience, or previous studies, has taught the student.
