...Reading can refer to literacy or to reading comprehension. If you have a child who has trouble reading (a literacy problem), my approach would be to use phonics. Phonics helps children understand the sounds that letters make and how to put them together in order to decode words.

...I thoroughly enjoy the journey of discovery as students not only learn concepts, but are able to apply them in different ways and different mathematical situations. I believe that sometimes things take time to "click" inside of a student's mind, and I allow time for that type of understanding to occur.
