...Language, of course, is interwoven with culture. I was born in Japan where I studied "ikebana" (Japanese flower arrangement) under a master teacher, and became a certified ikebana teacher myself. I also studied "koto" (the Japanese harp) with a prominent master teacher, and have taught both Japanese and Americans how to play this instrument.
