...In the last several years I have been tutoring Attic and Koine Greek. I have an M.A. in Classical Philology (Ancient Greek and Latin languages) from the University of Illinois and have completed most of the coursework in the classics Ph.D. program. I have completed 24 undergraduate hours and 12 graduate hours of coursework in Attic Greek.

...My tutoring method is, I think, extremely effective. The trick with Latin, as is true of any language, is practice, practice, practice. Upon discovering the skill level of the person I am tutoring, I select passages that are within their vocabulary so they can focus on grammatical structure.

...I can work with students on getting to know some Greek and Latin word origins, learning the meanings of specific prefixes and suffixes, and learning how to get the most use out of what a good dictionary offers. Geometry is math and algebra made visual. In kindergarten you learned to identify circles, squares, and triangles.
