The Falandril alphabet (Avalandril Dgiribatu) was invented by Adam Trotter
(adam[at]astrotter[dot]com) in 1987, since when the shapes of the letters
have evolved considerably. Adam use his alphabet as a secret shorthand for
taking sensitive notes or for transcribing poetry, mainly in Standard American
English. He has found it flexible enough to record most European languages,
includling French, Spanish, German, and Russian, and also uses it to write his
invented language, Falandril.
Written in horizontal lines running from left to right and top to bottom.
In hand-written Falandril letters are connected as much as possible and
there are certain common abbreviations and combinations of letters.
