Kari L. ...Letter to sound recognition is an important fundamental in learning to read and to spell. I have taught students digraphs, consonant blends, and other sounds as well as how to strategically figure out words using phonics and other strategies. I have also assessed students in spelling and used the different aspects of phonics to assess areas in need of growth and areas of strength.
