...Students learn best when they are engaged with material being taught. In my English classes in Kazakhstan I used everything from sitcoms to crossword puzzles to pop music videos to trivia contests. I took my students salsa dancing and rafting, all the while exposing them to aspects of English outside the typical grammar one might get in a classroom.
