I spent my whole life in Iran. I have my Bachelor's of Arts in Persian Language and Literature and my Master's of Art in Applied Linguistics (Teaching Persian to non-Persian students)from Iran. I have taught Farsi for more than ten years while I worked as a researcher on Iranian languages and dialects.

...Why is that? A couple of good reasons are that we spend most of our educational life listening to others and then being tested on how much we have absorbed by answering questions on a computer or on paper. It is not until we get older that we are tasked by speaking in front of a group.

...Rather than pound theory into a child's head, I teach them how to master their favorite songs while salting each lesson with tips and tricks that relate to theory behind the guitar. I took piano lessons from a teacher who had her masters degree in music. I took lessons for four years and continued to teach myself and use the piano to write music.
