...I started learning Spanish in junior high and continued to study Spanish even into my graduate degree. I have traveled extensively to central Mexico, and hope to travel more. Being that I am not a native Spanish speaker, I feel that it helps me to understand the errors that my students make and to help them see how to correct these mistakes.

After learning German in high school and majoring in German in college, I lived in Germany, where I married a German and ran a restaurant. As a result, I spoke German exclusively with native speakers on a daily basis. In fact, I continued speaking German as my primary language for the first 3 years after returning to the US.
