...I spent three years teaching ESL in Germany, as well as tutoring students after school. I would hold conversation hours in the evenings so students could come and practice their English in a non-classroom setting. I don't like to focus on book learning - instead I tend to use conversation or role-playing techniques to give the student a feel for the English language.
